Flower Arranging Taster Workshop

Are you curious about flower arranging? Our Flower Arranging Taster Workshop is the perfect introduction for beginners looking to explore the beauty and creativity of floral design.
In this relaxed, hands-on session I’ll demonstrate the essential 'spiral' technique to create a hand tied bouquet and then you have a go at making your own floral bouquet to take home.
My classes are small so you get to set the pace and everyone has lots of guidance.This workshop is ideal for anyone wanting a taste of floral arranging without the commitment of a full course. Craft With Clare: Gelli Plate PRinting
If you’ve ever wanted to try printmaking, gelli plate printing is a perfect introduction to create original, fun and colourful prints that express your creativity. This 2 hour workshop will introduce you to mono printing, teaching you the right techniques to add colour layers, patterns and textures to each print. By the end of the workshop you’ll have a large collection of unique and colourful artwork to take home and display, a new skill learnt and your creative levels will be fully loaded!
This workshop is fully vegan!

Mum & Baby Craft Club
Weekly Craft club to connect with other mums in your area, chat with like minded people, focus on yourself and unleash your creativity. Each session you will be immersed into a new creative project and at the end of the workshop you’ll have something unique to take home with you and something that you actually want to keep!
For this workshop you will learn how to tie-dye, exploring different techniques and using a variety of colours to make some unique and special clothes for your little one. One babygro or t-shirt is included (up to 3 years) and extras can be brought on the day for £5 each. If your little one is over 3 years you are welcome to bring an item from home to tie-dye!
The venue is pram accessible and we welcome you with kids up to 4 years old for free and kids 5+ at a small additional charge.

India Arkin Residency
Join India Arkin every Wednesday at The Crafty Egg Fishponds for stripped back indie vibes.
India Arkin was introduced to the world with a thunderous start, moving to the North-East to study Fine Art, Arkin was quickly signed to HMV’s first ever distribution deal with 1921 Records; putting her face on the page of Forbes, NME - as well naming her a National Album Day ambassador alongside the likes of Sam Ryder, Franz Ferdinand, and KSI. Cememting herself as one to watch from the beginning.
With influence from Wolf Alice, The Last Dinner Party and Radiohead she’s keen to blow the lid off any one sonic box. Now 24 years old, Arkin has taken the industry by a storm. With a rammed schedule over the last 12 months with her live band, she continues to establish her sound with support slots for Tom Grennan and The Feeling, and Daytime TV. Alongside this she has performed at festivals including Bingley Weekender, 100Above, and Spring Classic, and notably being a two time headliner at Rotterdam’s Left Of The Dial; naming her one their top 15 artists out of over 115 international acts, undoubtedly stating the beginning her international success.

Origami and Pom Pom Garlands Workshop
In this two hour workshop you will learn how to fold paper to create your own beautiful origami decorations and learn how to create perfect pom poms! All materials will be provided and by the end of the workshop you will have created a range of origami decorations and pom poms to create a beautiful garland. Once you master the technique I guarantee these will be regular gifts you give and stand out decorations for years to come! This workshop is for anyone that wants to have a fun relaxing evening, learn a new skill and create something beautiful!

Beginning their journey into the world of jazz seven years ago, they have played to audience in both Lithunia and the UK, blending jazz with R&B influences. They have performed at Lithuania’s REM Vilnius 2018 opening ceremony, the renowned Kaunas Jazz Festival in 2018, and graced the stage at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

Life Drawing at The Crafty Egg
Monthly Life Drawing with Ella Sarah Creative
Join her for a relaxed and inclusive life drawing evening, held monthly at the Crafty Egg on Church Road.
Open to all – whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to figure drawing after a break.
Led by experienced and supportive tutor, these sessions focus on creative wellbeing, helping you unwind, reconnect with your creativity and grow your drawing confidence at your own pace. There's no pressure for perfection, just a welcoming space to observe, sketch and enjoy the process.
All materials are provided, including a variety of basic drawing tools and paper. If you have a preferred medium please do bring these along. Boards provided are A3.
Each session features a professional life model (models of all genders), with a mix of short and long poses. Ella will be on hand throughout, offering friendly guidance, tips and encouragement for those who’d like it.
We'll take a short break halfway through for drinks and a chance to chat and share.

Abs: Live electropop infused neo-soul meets R&B
With a fusion of neo-soul, R&B, and electro-pop music, abs is an artist that brings passion and energy to the stage. Since forming her band in late 2022, abs has brought a fresh and exciting live show to her audiences. Her passion, self-belief and authenticity has brought fans in to sell out shows, and in February 2024, she went on her debut UK Tour supported by Help Musicians. abs played her first major festival at Tramlines 2024 on the Leadmill Stage, opening the festival with a bang.
abs' debut self-titled EP, released September 2023, shows a development in her music and her influences, including funk and hip-hop. Her latest single 'Stellar Collision' has been widely supported by local radios blogs, and newspapers. It is influenced by R&B artists such as Lianne La Havas and Nao, and shows abs' sexy side.

Create a colourful macramé plant hanger using two basic knots, at The Crafty Egg, Fishponds.
Get started with the enjoyable craft of macramé in this beginner-friendly workshop! You'll learn how to master a few basic knots and use these fundamentals to create your very own decorative mini plant hanger.
Guided step-by-step by your tutor Sam, the maker behind SC Knits, you'll work with colourful, hand-dyed cotton yarn provided for the class. Choose your preferred colour for the hanger base, and Sam will lead you through each loop and knot needed to complete your piece. No previous experience is necessary for this creative activity, making it suitable for adults and children aged 7 years and older.
By the end of the session, you'll have finished a charming mini macramé plant hanger to take home and display.
Workshop includes:
- A selection of colourful hand-dyed cotton cord options
- Expert tuition from Sam

No Bad Plates: Painting Party
ONE HOT DRINK (OR A SOFT DRINK) IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Painting Party is a fun and laid back painting workshop where classic party games will provide you with prompts for painting. You can expect things like Pictionary (but painting rather than drawing) Two Truths and One Lie (you paint what you've guessed is the lie) or a round of pub quiz but you paint the answers. Quiz prizes included.
We will be painting on paper plates so it is entirely up to you to decide whether you take the artwork home or leave it to be recycled. The aim is to encourage people who are not confident with painting, or haven't done it in a while, to give it a go without worrying about creating their best work; it's all about having fun in the moment and making memories with friends.
The workshop will run for approximately two hours with a quick break in the middle and we will be close to the bar so you are welcome to buy extra drinks at any point. All painting materials will be provided; no experience needed.
The bar will remain open after the event has finihsed so feel free to stick around and have a chat and a drink with your friends (or new friends you've made).

Dog Life Drawing
You’re probably here because you either love drawing or you love dogs, and if that’s the case, then this might just be the perfect event for you.
Welcome to Dog Life Drawing classes with artist Cai Burton at The Crafty Egg on Church Road.
Join this art class with a difference and get to know your fluffy models with a tail who just love scratches, pets and treats. Each class will feature multiple dogs of all shapes and sizes - expect snorting flat faces, long legs, tight curls and waggy tails. Try to keep up with the dogs movements and capture a variety of sketches, or spend longer on timed exercises led by artist Cai Burton.
Classes are fun and relaxed with the opportunity to move around and see different dogs. Get to know the owners and play with the pups during the break. Share your work afterwards and see how other artists of all skill levels capture these furry friends.
Cai will guide you through the session, introducing you to the class with structured warm ups and moving you around the space. Despite this, classes are still relaxed with the opportunity to move around as you see fit.
Drinks will be available from the bar and chilled music will help set the tone.

Print + Sip with Sophie Rae Art
Join Sophie at the Crafty Egg in Fishponds, for a two-hour evening workshop that's the perfect antidote to a long old day. Unwind with a playful and satisfying low-tech print process that gives quick but beautiful results. Sophie will show you the ropes!
Grab a drink at the bar to sip on whilst getting into the informal and playful creative process. You could even book a table at the venue before the workshop starts to enjoy one of their delicious pizzas.
In a friendly and supportive environment, you will learn printmaking tips and techniques, using small artist quality rollers with hand-cut paper stencils, provided. From here you'll build up your print onto paper or card. Discover the magic of materials that can create fantastic textures and wonderful gradients when built up into layers. Play around with shapes, colour or compositions. Sophie encourages you to experiment with this process, providing all the guidance and support you need along the way.
Within a couple of hours, you'll have:
Produced a number of A4 prints
Played around with mixing many different colours
Learnt tips about colour combinations and composition

They have performed at Lithuania’s REM Vilnius 2018 opening ceremony, the renowned Kaunas Jazz Festival in 2018, and graced the stage at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

Join India Arkin every Wednesday at The Crafty Egg Fishponds for stripped back indie vibes.
India Arkin was introduced to the world with a thunderous start, moving to the North-East to study Fine Art, Arkin was quickly signed to HMV’s first ever distribution deal with 1921 Records; putting her face on the page of Forbes, NME - as well naming her a National Album Day ambassador alongside the likes of Sam Ryder, Franz Ferdinand, and KSI. Cememting herself as one to watch from the beginning.
With influence from Wolf Alice, The Last Dinner Party and Radiohead she’s keen to blow the lid off any one sonic box. Now 24 years old, Arkin has taken the industry by a storm. With a rammed schedule over the last 12 months with her live band, she continues to establish her sound with support slots for Tom Grennan and The Feeling, and Daytime TV. Alongside this she has performed at festivals including Bingley Weekender, 100Above, and Spring Classic, and notably being a two time headliner at Rotterdam’s Left Of The Dial; naming her one their top 15 artists out of over 115 international acts, undoubtedly stating the beginning her international success.

Mini Macramé Plant Hanger Workshop
Create a colourful macramé plant hanger using two basic knots, at The Crafty Egg, Fishponds.
Get started with the enjoyable craft of macramé in this beginner-friendly workshop! You'll learn how to master a few basic knots and use these fundamentals to create your very own decorative mini plant hanger.
Guided step-by-step by your tutor Sam, the maker behind SC Knits, you'll work with colourful, hand-dyed cotton yarn provided for the class. Choose your preferred colour for the hanger base, and Sam will lead you through each loop and knot needed to complete your piece. No previous experience is necessary for this creative activity, making it suitable for adults and children aged 7 years and older.
By the end of the session, you'll have finished a charming mini macramé plant hanger to take home and display.
Workshop includes:

- Expert tuition from Sam

India Arkin is a 24-year-old alternative artist blending influences from Wolf Alice and Radiohead into a bold, genre-fluid sound. Now based in Bristol, she’s played festivals like Bingley Weekender and Left Of The Dial in Rotterdam, and supported acts including Tom Grennan and The Feeling. With new music on the way and a reputation for powerful live sets, she’s fast becoming one to watch on the UK scene.
SCARLETT FAGAN
Scarlett Fagan is a London born Soul singer and songwriter. In May 2022 she released her debut solo album ‘Conscious’ which was produced by the amazingly talented Matthew Dyer. The album is a distinctive blend of Soul, Jazz and RnB, accompanied by soul baring lyrics. Drawing inspiration from Soul/Jazz legends such as Amy Winehouse and Etta James, Scarlett’s live performances are raw and honest but with a sultry, seductive edge.
LAURA DIA
Laura Dia is a Nigerian-Irish singer, songwriter and producer from Bristol. Her music lies within the realms of contemporary R&B, Pop and Soul but she also draws inspiration from indie rock, hip hop and her west African heritage. She has received support from BBC Radio Bristol, Soton, BBC Introducing in the West, BBC Radio 1 as well as playing stages and venues such as The Bristol Beacon, Love Saves The Day, Bristol Harbour festival Glastonbury, Boomtown and she’ll be returning for a second year to Forwards festival this August.

Megs Emrys
Head to The Crafty Egg for a family friendly performance from Megs Emrys. Megs Emrys is a professionally trained Voice and Sound Therapist and gifted performer of her own songs. With over 20 years of experience, Megs creates music that inspires hope and reminds us of our connection to the Earth. Influenced by her time in Peru and love of nature, she aims to unite people globally through music, which she performs in both Spanish and English using guitar and charango. Drawing from her experiences as a mother, her songs reflect a commitment to nurturing our relationship with the land and celebrating shared humanity.

No Bad Plates: Painting Party
ONE HOT DRINK (OR A SOFT DRINK) IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Painting Party is a fun and laid back painting workshop where classic party games will provide you with prompts for painting. You can expect things like Pictionary (but painting rather than drawing) Two Truths and One Lie (you paint what you've guessed is the lie) or a round of pub quiz but you paint the answers. Quiz prizes included.
We will be painting on paper plates so it is entirely up to you to decide whether you take the artwork home or leave it to be recycled. The aim is to encourage people who are not confident with painting, or haven't done it in a while, to give it a go without worrying about creating their best work; it's all about having fun in the moment and making memories with friends.
The workshop will run for approximately two hours with a quick break in the middle and we will be close to the bar so you are welcome to buy extra drinks at any point. All painting materials will be provided; no experience needed.
The bar will remain open after the event has finihsed so feel free to stick around and have a chat and a drink with your friends (or new friends you've made).

POSTPONED: The Bear Minimum
The Bear Minimum are a Bristol based band performing soul, neo-soul, funk with elements of rock and latin and reggae twist. They use a mixture of slower grooves and more playful rhythms.

Craft With Clare
Come and learn how to tie-dye, explore different techniques and revamp your old clothes with colour! Make a heart T-shirt; revamp your socks, add a swirl to your pillowcases! Multiple tie-dye techniques will be taught and a range of colours will be available. You will be provided with all the materials you need to create unique items and take away full aftercare instructions so your items can be taken home and washed correctly to ensure lasting dye. Aprons will be provided.
Please note you can tie-dye 1 item (pairs of socks count as one) and if you want to tie-dye more items there’s a small charge of £3 per item.
If you want to you can also purchase a pair of Nike socks to tie-dye at £5 each.

Candle Painting Workshop

Dog Life Drawing
You’re probably here because you either love drawing or you love dogs, and if that’s the case, then this might just be the perfect event for you.
Welcome to Dog Life Drawing classes with artist Cai Burton at The Crafty Egg on Church Road.
Join this art class with a difference and get to know your fluffy models with a tail who just love scratches, pets and treats. Each class will feature multiple dogs of all shapes and sizes - expect snorting flat faces, long legs, tight curls and waggy tails. Try to keep up with the dogs movements and capture a variety of sketches, or spend longer on timed exercises led by artist Cai Burton.
Classes are fun and relaxed with the opportunity to move around and see different dogs. Get to know the owners and play with the pups during the break. Share your work afterwards and see how other artists of all skill levels capture these furry friends.
Cai will guide you through the session, introducing you to the class w ith structured warm ups and moving you around the space. Despite this, classes are still relaxed with the opportunity to move around as you see fit.
Drinks will be available from the bar and chilled music will help set the tone.

Now a little about our host: Karolina Griškutė is a jazz vocalist hailing from Lithuania who is now made a home in Bristol. Beginning their journey into the world of jazz seven years ago, they have played to audience in both Lithunia and the UK, blending jazz with R&B influences. They have performed at Lithuania’s REM Vilnius 2018 opening ceremony, the renowned Kaunas Jazz Festival in 2018, and graced the stage at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

Nick Roll & Sofia Montero: live soul-jazz & latin
Singer-songwriter Nick Roll is joined by his daughter Sofia Montero whose stunning voice has been gaining increasing attention on the Bristol scene and beyond.
Expect some gorgeous singing and vocal harmonies in English and Spanish sprinkled with Sofia’s soulful violin and a uniquely charming and charismatic father-daughter chemistry.
Their set includes carefully crafted, mostly latin or soul-jazz flavoured originals and delicately reimagined soul-jazz classics as well as haunting Mexican folk songs.

Monthly Life Drawing with Ella Sarah Creative
Join her for a relaxed and inclusive life drawing evening, held monthly at the Crafty Egg on Church Road.
Open to all – whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to figure drawing after a break.
Led by experienced and supportive tutor, these sessions focus on creative wellbeing, helping you unwind, reconnect with your creativity and grow your drawing confidence at your own pace. There's no pressure for perfection, just a welcoming space to observe, sketch and enjoy the process.
All materials are provided, including a variety of basic drawing tools and paper. If you have a preferred medium please do bring these along. Boards provided are A3.
Each session features a professional life model (models of all genders), with a mix of short and long poses. Ella will be on hand throughout, offering friendly guidance, tips and encouragement for those who’d like it.
We'll take a short break halfway through for drinks and a chance to chat and share.
Spaces are limited, so booking is essential.

Your host will bring heaps of reclaimed vintage books, magazines,
postcards cards, and papers you can make some truly unique works.
Take a trip down nostalgia lane and create some wonderful, playful and sometimes very surreal images!
Each piece is an artwork in itself and there is no previous experience needed.

Marie Lister and James Ladd (No Go Stop, Pete Josef, Duval Project) bring their distinct flavour of stripped back soul to The Crafty Egg. Expect a selection of old school faves from the 60’s through to the 00’s, brought to you via the timeless medium of guitar and vocal.

Tennyson King + Support
Tennyson King is an award-winning, nomadic, folk musician from Hong Kong and Canada with a charismatic stage personality and magnetic energy. Pairing songs written in English, Mandarin and Cantonese with kick drum, Zhongruan, electric and acoustic guitar, he captivates audiences with positivity, interactive songs, and playful stories of life on the road. A restorative sound that brings crowds to their feet; folk-rock infused with earthy roots, pop, and subtle psychedelic ear candy.
He recently released collaborations with Lindi Ortega, Skye Wallace & Kim Yang, while taking to the road with tours in Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Japan and the United Kingdom. He has recently performed at Airlie Beach Music Festival (Australia), Folk Alliance International, Jade Music Festival (Taiwan), Springtide Music Festival, & Khatsahlano Street Party. In 2025 Tennyson will perform at Glastonbury Music Festival (UK) for his second time, tour with Aysanabee in Taiwan, and fill his summer with concerts in Canada promoting new songs off his upcoming album.

Gelli Plate Printing Workshop
If you’ve ever wanted to try printmaking, gelli plate printing is a perfect introduction to create original, fun and colourful prints that express your creativity. This 2 hour workshop will introduce you to mono printing, teaching you the right techniques to add colour layers, patterns and textures to each print. By the end of the workshop you’ll have a large collection of unique and colourful artwork to take home and display, a new skill learnt and your creative levels will be fully loaded!

Mum & Baby Craft Club: Card Making and Sun Printing
Weekly Craft club to connect with other mums in your area, chat with like minded people, focus on yourself and unleash your creativity. Each session you will be immersed into a new creative project and at the end of the workshop you’ll have something unique to take home with you and something that you actually want to keep!
For this workshop you will learn how to tie-dye, exploring different techniques and using a variety of colours to make some unique and special clothes for your little one. One babygro or t-shirt is included (up to 3 years) and extras can be brought on the day for £5 each. If your little one is over 3 years you are welcome to bring an item from home to tie-dye!
The venue is pram accessible and we welcome you with kids up to 4 years old for free and kids 5+ at a small additional charge.
