Welcome to Dog Life Drawing classes with artist Cai Burton at The Crafty Egg, Fishponds.

Join this art class with a difference and get to know your fluffy models with a tail who just love scratches, pets and treats. Each class will feature multiple dogs of all shapes and sizes - expect snorting flat faces, long legs, tight curls and waggy tails. Try to keep up with the dogs movements and capture a variety of sketches, or spend longer on timed exercises led by artist Cai Burton.

Classes are fun and relaxed with the opportunity to move around and see different dogs. Get to know the owners and play with the pups during the break. Share your work afterwards and see how other artists of all skill levels capture these furry friends.

Cai will guide you through the session, introducing you to the class with structured warm ups and moving you around the space. Despite this, classes are still relaxed with the opportunity to move around as you see fit.

Drinks will be available from the bar and chilled music will help set the tone.

Now a little about our host: Karolina Griškutė is a jazz vocalist hailing from Lithuania who is now made a home in Bristol. Beginning their journey into the world of jazz seven years ago, they have played to audience in both Lithunia and the UK, blending jazz with R&B influences. They have performed at Lithuania’s REM Vilnius 2018 opening ceremony, the renowned Kaunas Jazz Festival in 2018, and graced the stage at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

Songwriter, guitarist and vocalist from the band Surface Air plays an acoustic blend of progressive harmony and rock with a hint of folk guitar stylings. FFO King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, My New Band Believe.

The exhibition features pieces by artists connected to Circular ArtSpace, spanning painting, illustration, and mixed media. The works explore themes of everyday life, connection, and personal expression, creating a thoughtful visual backdrop to the space.

Designed to sit naturally within The Crafty Egg, the exhibition invites guests to engage with art while enjoying coffee, brunch, or an evening drink. It’s a quiet meeting point between food, community, and creative practice.

How Dare She bio (The Monthly Visitor version): How Dare She is an all-female folk trio harnessing some of the finest vocal talent in the South West of England. Luscious vocal harmonies are underpinned by guitar fingerpicking with bass, synth and percussion, producing a stripped back, intimate sound. The warmth and fluidity in their delivery has you smiling, nodding along and settling into their laid-back acoustic vibe. Collectively, the band have taken up space on stages at Wilderness, Shambala, Stowaway, Bristol Jazz Festival, Worcester Music Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Benji Grut is a talented multi-instrumentalist and performer with a background in drums, guitar and vocals. A graduate of BIMM Bristol University with a degree in Popular Music Performance and Songwriting, Benji brings professional musicianship, charisma, and a diverse setlist to every stage.

Blending timeless classics with modern favourites, Benji delivers acoustic covers with soulful vocals and rhythmic guitar as well as his own original music.

Playing genres such as: Indie, Rock, Acoustic and Pop whilst covering artists such as: The Beatles, Oasis, Coldplay, Elton John, Bill Withers, Fleetwood Mac & many more!
