Her music embodies that of a walk through nature, and she is well versed in writing from her own life experiences. Lara paints ballads bound to tug at your heart strings - taking influence from jazz & folk. She will also be mixing her set with a range of well known covers, so you’ll be sure to hear something you love!

The Crafty Egg is hosting a new art exhibition in collaboration with Circular ArtSpace, bringing a curated selection of contemporary works into the café setting.

The exhibition features pieces by artists connected to Circular ArtSpace, spanning painting, illustration, and mixed media. The works explore themes of everyday life, connection, and personal expression, creating a thoughtful visual backdrop to the space.

Designed to sit naturally within The Crafty Egg, the exhibition invites guests to engage with art while enjoying coffee, brunch, or an evening drink. It’s a quiet meeting point between food, community, and creative practice.

The quiz consists of 4 rounds of quizzical conundrums with a few egg puns thrown in for good measure. Make sure to get down to The Crafty Egg for 7pm, quiz starts at 7.30pm sharp! Entry £1.

who will give tips and tricks throughout the session and invite you to take part in some fun and playful exercises.
With a 20 minute break in between to chat or exchange ideas.

Some basic pencils, charcoal and paper provided but please bring your own if you'd like.

You're welcome to stay for a drink after the class and meet some fellow creatives. Arrive 10/15 minutes before the class to get a good spot. The class will start just after 6.

Now a little about our host: Karolina Griškutė is a jazz vocalist hailing from Lithuania who is now made a home in Bristol. Beginning their journey into the world of jazz seven years ago, they have played to audience in both Lithunia and the UK, blending jazz with R&B influences. They have performed at Lithuania’s REM Vilnius 2018 opening ceremony, the renowned Kaunas Jazz Festival in 2018, and graced the stage at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.

Portishead-born Adrian Roper is a singer-songwriter whose songs express a wide range of subjects, emotions and styles, drawing on blues, indie, Americana, folk and more.

Mike Slee’s guitar lifts every song into another dimension, deepening the emotion, and delivering riffs that bring exactly the right mix of heart, lift, drama, and wit.

Live, they adapt to the room bringing warmth and good humour that pulls the audience closer into a shared experience.

A gig held at The Crafty Egg (Fishponds) on Saturday, 31st October. Doors are at 18:00 with the event starting at 18:30. The event finishes at 21:00. The event has been tagged in the comedy, lgbtq+ and drag categories.

You’re probably here because you either love drawing or you love dogs, and if that’s the case, then this might just be the perfect event for you.

Welcome to Dog Life Drawing classes with artist Cai Burton at The Crafty Egg, Fishponds.

Join this art class with a difference and get to know your fluffy models with a tail who just love scratches, pets and treats. Each class will feature multiple dogs of all shapes and sizes - expect snorting flat faces, long legs, tight curls and waggy tails. Try to keep up with the dogs movements and capture a variety of sketches, or spend longer on timed exercises led by artist Cai Burton.

Classes are fun and relaxed with the opportunity to move around and see different dogs. Get to know the owners and play with the pups during the break. Share your work afterwards and see how other artists of all skill levels capture these furry friends.

Cai will guide you through the session, introducing you to the class with structured warm ups and moving you around the space. Despite this, classes are still relaxed with the opportunity to move around as you see fit.

Drinks will be available from the bar and chilled music will help set the tone.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)

Often described as a musical "JourneyMaker," UK singer-songwriter Matt JR Hurley brings a refreshing, deeply personal presence to the acoustic folk/roots scene. With soft, melodic fingerpicking leading into soaring, heartfelt choruses, Matt writes honest music about real-world struggles, life’s big questions, and enduring hope.

Adèle & Rich are an acoustic duo, performing a variety of modern and classic pop songs (anywhere from Dolly Parton to Bruno Mars).

Adèle, inspired by jazz and folk music, pleases the audience with her soft vocals, which sit nicely with Rich’s acoustic guitar accompaniment.

The duo focus on playing popular songs in an acoustic style, which appeal to a typical audience in a pub / bar setting.

A new comedy open mic for Bristol putting female, non-binary, trans and queer performers to

"Freya Dalgarno is an indie/rock/pop singer-songwriter who explores evocative themes using melodic vocals and poignant metaphors. She released her debut album “Out of my Depth" in February 2025 and has continued to release several more singles. She’s become a familiar name in the Somerset and Gloucestershire area by performing at many local events including Wychwood and Somerstock. She’s also supported multiple bands and has been featured (interviews and live performances) on radio stations such as Radio NineSprings, GWS Radio and Abbey104."

Stevie P is a South London born Singer/ songwriter/ composer, living in the West Country. His songs are honest and elemental with intricate, weaving guitar lines, strongly influenced by his passion for worldwide traditional music. His solo album, “Moments Notice” is an enchanting collection of soulful and often tender songs of love, loss and new beginnings. Music to uplift and inspire. Joined by, Jade Morris on viola, she weaves her own magic into the music.

How Dare She bio (The Monthly Visitor version): How Dare She is an all-female folk trio harnessing some of the finest vocal talent in the South West of England.
